1968 Show Where My Friends Are
We are a family owned and operated business.
Synopsis:
In 1968 the country lived in a climate of tension and urban guerrilla between military and university and secondary students, who demanded a democracy and an end to the dictatorship. A student of journalism is invited by his teacher to work in a newspaper whose name is Folha da Noticia, a newspaper that is bold in his stories. With that, Júlio Medeiros begins to show his potential in search of his professional success, at a time when everything prohibited due to AI5.
Lover of his profession and in love with his girlfriend, Júlio Medeiros lives an intense love story with Rosa Estemberg, a theater actress. With this, their ideals are confused with a nonexistent personality that leads them to feel all the repression of an era.
An engaging love story between two young people, a family drama; a show that portrays two contrasting mentalities of our national history.
On the one hand, courageous young people who, in desperate and violent reactions, fought for the freedom of their rights, all led them to the paths of the dictatorship. On the other hand, due to the paranoia of certain groups of repression, he identified subversion in any and all groups that dared to claim their rights of freedom. There was exaggeration from side to side to good will and incompetence yearnings for freedom.
Fears and violence have shaped years of history, an engaging show that begins in 1968 and runs until the mid-1970s in Mexico's world cup when Brazil wins the triple world championship.
